I met Sally when I was 17. She was such a treat to be around.She was married and had 4 children at that time, but she still seemed like a kid to me She didn't mind my hanging around and bugging me. She taught me to cook Italian and how to deal with babies and small children. She also showed me how to deal with life in general, the hard times and the good times. I could talk to her about anything. When I was carrying my first child, she was carrying her youngest daughter. They were born about a month apart. She was VERY helpful when my baby was sick and kept me from falling apart over the least little thing. I know she would laugh at me sometimes, but in a nice way. I called her Lady because she truly was. It has been 47 years since I met her. I will miss knowing that she is around.
